It’s been a decade since Kubo faced off against his grandfather, and during that time, the Sun Village has enjoyed a period of peace and stability. The daily rhythms of life have provided a soothing backdrop to the memories of past struggles.
However, the calm is now being disrupted by unsettling whispers and rumors that hint at a return of fear. Fishermen have been disappearing without a trace, strange disturbances are occurring in the sea, and an unsettling sense of unease is creeping into the hearts of the villagers.

Years ago, a moon spirit fell in love with a dangerous soldier, and they held in their arms a son, an infant.
Years ago, the moon spirit lost his soldier, lost his family and home, all he had left was a son in his arms and scars on the skin of his back.
