In 3 minutes, the Batclan lost their brother, pseudo-father, and hero.
The hero community will never forget those 3 minutes. Partly because no one could prove what happened and what didn't. The only thing they can prove is that Deathstroke shot the one Robin he swore to never harm.5 years later:
Talon is breaking, and he knows it. Some days he wakes up as Dick, others as Richard, and some as Nightwing....or is it Robin?He can't sleep, can't eat, he doesn't know if he needs to find his Master or remember the last mission instructions from his Grand Master.

“Epilepsy.” Tim breathed. He was already shaking his head. “But I feel fine.”
“You’re fine now,” Bruce said, his hand on Tim’s knee. “Because of the medications that you have been put on. They are helping to regulate your body, keeping inappropriate electrical impulses at a minimum.”
“Inappropriate electrical impulses.” Tim said. “Really Bruce, I’m not a child.”
“A normal child wouldn’t have understood what I just said.” Bruce countered.
Tim blinked. Then, again.
“I would have.” Tim finally said.
__________________Timothy Jackson Drake is many things.
He's brilliant, he's brave, he's Red Robin. Some might say he's a little shit, but that was neither here nor there. Well, actually, yeah, he's a little shit but whatever.
What Tim can't be is broken.
He can't possibly bring shame to the Drake name and the Wayne family. He can't possibly have epilepsy, because he is meant to be better than that, he needs to be better than that.

“His camera’s here,” Steph calls from the bedroom. “So’s his laptop. He didn’t make his bed. What am I looking for, Dick? A note? ‘Hey, I went and got high, catcha later’?”
Dick opens up the lower cabinet, looking through the pans. This is where Roy used to stash everything. Food, freezer, unused pans. He squats down, flipping over a bread pan he doesn’t think Tim knows he owns, and flips it over. Nothing.
“Will you just keep looking?”
AKA: When Dick and Steph finally find Tim after he doesn't check in for more than twenty-four hours, he's not doing, ah, great.

He throws the car in park and removes the key before leaning forward slightly to rest his forehead on the steering wheel. The car shakes as the kids scramble out of it, slamming the doors closed behind them. Each resulting WHAM sets off fireworks behind Steve’s closed eyelids.
He just needs a minute. One minute of silence. Then, he’ll go inside to wrangle the kids and clean up before Mrs. Byers gets back.
A hand lands on his shoulder and he jumps, whipping his head to see who’s touching him. Pain floods over the left side of his head and down through his neck and shoulders. He presses a hand into his left eyebrow, trying to chase the pain away with the pressure.
Dustin still sits in the passenger seat next to him. His hand tightens on his shoulder, eyes blown wide.
“Steve, hey, you okay?”

“You saved me, Will” he whispered. Will looked up at him, their eyes meeting. His eyes…Mike figured he could drown in those eyes and still never get enough of them.
Will was so close to him. Their faces were only inches from each other, if he leaned forward any closer they would touch. And oh how he wanted to. It wouldn’t be hard. To bring Will’s lips to his. It would be so easy.
Mike was so lost in this idea, that he didn’t notice the vines creeping towards them. He didn’t notice it snaking around Will’s ankle. He didn’t see the way it moved up to his back, settling just near the center of the boy’s stomach.

When Will Byers is killed just moments after unlocking his powers, Mike's world is destroyed.

Will hesitated. Every choice he made threatened to cause further damage to the rifts between them, but Mike needed him–and truth be told, he’d never been able to say no to him.
I’m sorry. It was a confession. Will knew what he meant.
Mike wasn’t apologizing because he felt bad for getting so high that they had to take him home. He was apologizing for everything else. The last two years of radio silence. Their last fight. The pain he had caused him. All of it. He knew what he had done and he was finally admitting it.
OR
Will and Mike haven't spoken in two years after a miscommunication tore them apart. Just as he finally starts to feel free and meets someone new that could be actually good for him, Mike crashes back into his life like a tsunami, needing Will's help before he ruins his life. Will is left with an impossible decision between continuing to try to move on (though he knows he never really could) or choosing to forgive him, helping Mike find the light again.

Will’s body is heavy as Mike drags him out of the quarry.
His lungs are burning and feel too small altogether, unable to hold any of the air he is trying to force into them. He can feel Will's hands slipping up his chest, the limp body sliding lower against his back. Mike hoists him up again, readjusting his grip. His nails dig into the other boys’ wrists a little tighter, breaking the soft and pale skin.
They are getting closer to the shore, Mike figures. His thoughts are sluggish, coming slow and hard to grasp. He only knows that he must get them out, the need to tend to Will growing, more urgent and all encompassing, entire body thrumming Will Will Will with every step he takes towards the bank.
The other boy is an increasingly grave weight on his back. Mike never wants to stop carrying it.

Will was back. Choking on his own breath, heaving breaths he couldn’t seem to find. His lung burnt. His muscles tensed. There was a presence beside him, their knee pressing into the soft flesh of his torso, but he could barely feel it. They were calling his name over and over but he couldn’t pay attention.
“Mike?”
The word comes out wrong. Desperate.
A strangled sob was returned. Someone was crying. Why were they crying?
Suddenly he felt it. A prickling in his head, not painful, no something else. Something was wrong.
He tried to blink, tried to find something to grasp on. The world was spinning and he didn’t know how to stop it.
He blinked—darkness.
He lifted his hand. Pools of something thick. He gagged.
“Mike, why can’t I see?”
The pain hasn’t caught up to him yet — only the terror, the sudden, crushing absence where something has always been.
“Mike why can't I fucking see?"

Oh right. He was on the ground on his hands and knees. He was fine, totally fine. He just needed to rest for a moment. He just couldn't remember how to breathe. Once he figured that out, he'd be fine. There was a familiar hand gripping his shoulder gently.
"Are you okay? Will look at me," Mike's tone was bleeding panic as he dropped to his knees in front of him.
Will stared at the ground, the maroon and inky sky was clearing up and sunlight was peeking out. It was scattering over the concrete. He couldn't speak, jaw hanging open as he gasped in insufficient air. He blinked again and winced, the movement blooming the pain further. There were strong fingers cradling his jaw. His head was tilted up, and Mike swore under his breath, his thumb hoovering over his left cheek.
"Talk to me Will, can you walk? We need to get you some help."
OR: The aftermath of destroying the upside down left Will without an eye, but turned his life upside down in other ways. A short story of learning that love is all around you, and that hiding parts of yourself can never last forever. A journey of discovery, freedom and patience. And lots of signals!

Mike finally knows what he wants, or maybe he already had. Just needed to be layed out infront of him.
“Will!” He cried out bolting directly for him nearly slipping. Will was on the pavement still at his knees.
Panting, making no effort to look up at Mike. Mike who is saying his name again this time much lower and softer “will?” But he can’t hear him through the loud ringing and ache in his head.
He begins to hear his name being called out faintly before all his senses are snapped into reality by the gentle feeling of Mike's touch to his jaw, tilting his head up till their eyes meet.
