He sat at their dining table, books and papers spread out across infront of him. He had been working since the morning, and with his headphones on he was lost to the world around him. He always worked best when it rained, when the world suddenly felt a whole lot less urban. He got so lost in his studies, sometimes it felt like he had been there, like he had lived through it all. Sometimes it was hard to disconnect, when he had first started his masters he’d been plagued by dreams, some he could have sworn felt like memories, but now they came and went, like some great wrong had been amended.
