Summary
Hongjoong finds himself in an unfamiliar world, standing before a towering metal gate, and is lead through a crimson fair ground by two grinning boys. One is a silent, shadowed presence, a tuft of white in his dark hair, his features too sharp, his colours too bright. The other is snake-like, all quick, fluid movements, a wide grin never leaving his face, his hair an oil-spill confusion of colours. They introduce Hongjoong to this new world, where he meets it's mysterious creator, Mars, and wakes up instantly.
The world, and the boys, return to him in his dreams, and Hongjoong grows to anticipate these visits, to the strange land he now finds himself in whenever he closes his eyes, as dreams start to bleed into reality, and the people at his school- a reclusive boy surrounded with dark rumours who watches Hongjoong from afar; a charming dark haired boy that's paying more attention to Hongjoong than ever, and the sweet, introverted boy in his science classes who other students avoid as if he's not there at all- seem to know more than they're letting on.

And Mirabel, Miracless Mirabel, looks at these people and sees so much hope. Not a single person in the tent has a gift. And yet, somehow, they /made/ their own gifts.
Mirabel didn't have a gift. But if all these people could create gifts for themselves, surely she could as well.
(Or, Joining the circus seemed like a cool idea when she had nowhere else to go, and it was. Best decision of her life. But then things happen, and years later she must return to the Encanto, and try not to be recognized.)Series

Summary
Inspired loosely by the story Where Our Intrepid Hero Doesn't Get Away by Sparklight in the Star Wars section.
One-shots and short stories surrounding either AU situations of canon where Loki is faced with Laufey and would normally get away but now not, or gapfillers pre-Thor1 of such premise and more, or another person helping parent and child reunite, with crossovers with other fandoms being a good possibility.
There are no deep ruminations on consequences of the situations here; just our awful frost-giant mum (and Laufey is always a mum here) picking their/her child up and cuddling him when he'd rather not be. Hence "caught is caught" which means poor Loki can't get away, and "caught is cuddled" for the inevitability of the sweet cuteness.

Doomsday protocols aren’t something Matt thought he’d ever have to know much about. At least, before Terry went and started fist fighting crime in back alleys and solving murders and stuff. Now, the most recent – and if he’s being completely honest, most scary – apocalyptic level event had actually put every hero left alive on the back foot. The Justice League was down, the extended Bat related Vigilante group of such-and-such had been systematically eradicated, and all that was left was Matt, Terry, Max, and a bleeding-to-his-death Old Man Bruce. And Ace, he can’t forget Ace.
And then the bombs went off, and Matt finds himself cold, and alone, in the parking lot of a Circus that closed down long before he was born. Gotham in 1976 is not ready for a McGinnis, let alone two of them.
