She was no prophet, but as she stared at the green tear in the sky of an unknown planet, emitting unfamiliar paracausal energy, she can tell that it was a sign that her vacation was over.

Jaune's sudden rocket ride in the Locker isn't without consequences, both good and bad. Awakening with new power, Jaune puts it to good use.
If you're looking for power balance, any semblance of a serious plot or a hope of this seeming realistic even by the standards of Destiny, I'm going to warn you now, it's the wrong story for you. As a basic primer for how over-powered Jaune is I'll say this: Supers require no cooldown, as in; faster than during a Mayhem match with 100 Intellect.
Gratuitous explosions, Grimm eradication. Near-Total Fix-It-Fic, and it's only 'Near' because Jaune dies, but is resurrected anyway.

The short of it: They fucked up.
Winter has never had a mission go so horribly wrong in her entire four hundred years of life. One minute she and Tristan are fighting Siva addicts, the next their thrown through a portal and end up in a universe that has no Light and where not every alien is an enemy. Now after two years, they've managed to pick up the pieces and carve out a living. It's not exciting, but it's something to do, that is, until a redheaded human looks them up and asks them if they want to help save the universe. When they agree, it's the guardians that have to hold back a grim smile, after all - it had been their job before.

The Black Mesa Research Facility was aware of the potential that their experiments could cause a resonance cascade. One of the Ahamkara eggs in the care of the Awoken has been stolen right as it is due to hatch. With the potentially reality shattering effects the allies of humanity rally to find the egg before it hatches.
Guardians Jack, Miko, and their new light trainee, Raf, are sent on a mission to retrieve the missing ahamkara egg. They never thought they would somehow end up in a different dimension. Trapped in the bodies of children, they must race against the clock and the enemies of humanity that have followed them in pursuit of the missing egg. Trapped in a different world and a different time than they're used to, will they find the egg before it hatches? Or will this new world crumble from the effects of a wish-granting creature?
To make matters weirder, they must also evade the attempts at capture by the giant metal robots who keep following them around.
