In one timeline, a curse implemented by a paranoid Royal Family on their own army centuries before has since rewritten what it means to be Hylian. The rest can never know.
Deposited on the edge of a forest, cliffs to the left of them and a valley before them with running water audible through the trees somewhere to the right, it could admittedly be much worse. There’s no sound hinting at nearby danger, no plumes of smoke from monster camps or damage telling of much larger enemies. The myriad of colours from the endless wildflowers combined with early-morning clear skies top it all off to make the view near-picturesque. If it weren’t for the one glaring issue this place would be perfect. Too perfect, almost.
Unfortunately, they’re undeniably lost.

Time slithered off his chair and onto the floor and lay there, staring dolefully up at the ceiling. “I’m never going to get all this right.”
