It's a slow day at the Seven, and quite frankly, Dante is comically bored.
When a missing person case linked to an odd heart monitor shows up at her desk, she agrees to investigate for a reprieve from her boredom. Certainly, it's nothing too special, and in the worst case scenario the "missing" person is just dead. Right?
...right...?
Dante quickly finds herself ensnared in a case that goes far, far, far deeper than she ever expected. It's a long, long way back to the light; and in the meanwhile, she's going to find herself mired in the dark and poisoned underbelly of the City. And, perhaps, things greater and older than what the City remembers...
