He couldnt respond.
Builderman looked at peace as the world faded around him, as he started falling.

He had no more prayers left in him. No more lines of code to run. He’d tried searching. Tried pretending c00lkidd was just… somewhere else. But no server had his ping. No trace remained.
His finger ghosted the trigger.
There was no note. No final message. He’d written too many goodbyes in his life already.
All that remained was this one.
He pressed the barrel to his temple. His mouth opened, as if he might speak—but there was nothing left to say.

c00lkidd, startled by the touch, opens his eyes blearily. His mouth opens in shock or in daze, yellowed teeth still sharp but blunted somewhat. c00lkidd’s eyes fill with tears, and in a wail, he sits up to hug his dad. It feels wonderful. There’s no fire consuming him.
07 chokes on his own sobs, the corners of his mouth turning up into a small smile as tears fall onto c00lkidd’s face. Over c00lkidd’s crying, he mutters,
“It’s so nice to see ya, kid.”

“I mean would killing it be a bad idea? After all, we don’t know what it is! It could technically be here to eat us!” 007n7 crossed his arms, looking awfully unimpressed. He liked his roommate, he really did but sometimes his ideas were too absurd, even for him.
“Noli, it’s a kid. Regardless if it’s red or if it’s a demon, it would have most likely already attacked us if it really wanted to.” Because yeah, the kid had shut up after Noli woke up and now it was just quietly looking up at them with big, wide eyes, almost like it was listening to the conversation.
“...I hate it when you actually make sense. But then what do we do with it?!” Noli leaned down to look at the kid, his expression slightly disgusted."
