The ritual begins; couples bound by love shall be bonded by something deeper. They shall be bonded by sacrifice. By the orders of the Spawn, and Amarah, Two time shall sacrifice their one and only. Their belived partner. Azure. It was a holy sermon done in private, after the ritual, both partners shall return in their second lives, and a bond created through blood.
It was the Spawn that made them do this, so why does it feel like Azure will never come back?

Summary
Two Time was a survivor which many had very mixed opinions on, most call them insane others misguided, but each can agree one one fact. Two Time is a mess. A mess born from guilt and the preaching of a cult which should have been destroyed by Builderman long ago. Azure had always been the one to see something beautiful in that mess, and no matter how much hatred clouded his mind he could never stand to see his flower wilt. Two Time is falling apart at the seams. Azure is too.

Tldr - Two Time thinks that Azure is a hallucination after witnessing him breaking in to check on them. Azure takes advantage of this to make sure they are taking care of themselves.

The man clearly heard Azure’s slip up, but he doesn’t comment. Leaving everything behind is far from easy, he knows that all too well. That’s why he won’t force anyone to make that choice if he can help it, “you think you can get ‘em here by tonight?”
“Yes sir.”
“Hurry up then, you shouldn’t be in there any longer than you have to.”
Azure answers, voice shaking from tears, relief, “thank you.”

Summary
If Two Time could line up every inch of their grief, not even the length of that regret could begin to stitch back together the remains of their heart. At times even the swaddle of their faith could not contain that pain, but to verbally denounce that decision would be to turn their back on the faith that led them down that path in the first place.

Azure is saying something, but Two Time cannot understand. They understand though, that they were wrong for what they did; they knew this from the instant that horrid dagger had sunk into his chest.
