Summary
Roz loved her island and all the animals on it. She loved them with all her metal heart.
Roz has always been a bright, cheery robot, always ready to help her animal friends.
But there was always a part of her, that held a buried sadness, a dim darkness if you like, that grew with every season that passed the island, threatening to take her down with it. It was always there, a lingering presence, no matter how hard she tried to erase it.Today, it almost took her. Until a giant metal being from another world crashed on her island and messed up her nice pebble beach.
Being one to always help another in need, Roz works to help them find their way home, while outside forces from both their worlds stop at nothing to get their hands on not only them but her, too.
Will they survive against the wilds?

It was... weird, having all these animals being near their home.
Brightbill wasn’t really sure what to think when he heard almost the entire forest stayed in their house during a winter storm- which he is fascinated that everyone managed to fit but Roz has always been good at figuring stuff like that out- but he really isn’t sure how to feel right now. All the other animals usually kept a large berth away from this place and them, barring Pinktail and her kids and sometimes Paddler. Brightbill feels like he should be more grateful that everyone cares about Roz so much now that they’re willing to help rebuild his home and he knows he should be happy because the other animals like them now but...
But Roz was leaving for who knows how long soon. So he wasn’t sure how to feel about anything anymore.

But that never happened. Sure, a big house, a servant robot, and a good paying job were great but it all came with a price, Roz had learned. What people from the outside never saw was just how she was able to keep her objectively “perfect” life.
Nor did they ever see how trapped she really felt.
All because of her boss. Vontra.
But one day, Roz meets a charming redheaded man one night and things change completely for her in ways she never expected and certainly never wanted.
But as time goes on, she thinks maybe it just might be her key of escape.
But with her career and entire life being on the line due to a huge life-altering surprise, how can she be so sure that things won’t crumble all around her?
