Summary
NYPD officer Dean Winchester has been secretly dating renowned author Castiel Novak for two months but those two months have been marked by frequent separation. Castiel's career moves forward into the movies, although no one knows the two men love each other. They are reunited just in time for Valentine's Day, and rather than spend it out in crowded Manhattan, they stay in bed with a box of truffles and Dean's police handcuffs. A fun, adventurous night turns surprisingly serious in the end as they try to navigate a powerful love in secret.

It’s Kate. Peter barely has time to register that before he clocks all the other details: the bloody cut over the bridge of her nose, the empty quiver of arrows on her back, the black eye. Not to mention her outfit, which looks, Peter thinks distantly, like something the Black Widow might have worn, if she’d been inclined to wear purple.
“Wow, we have got to stop running into each other,” Kate says with a grin, obviously proud of this joke.

“I am so sorry,” says the guy. On a good look, he’s seventeen at most, or a very baby-faced twenty. His words have a heavy New York slant, less Manhattan, more Brooklyn, maybe, or Queens — somewhere on the Island, anyway. As he straightens up, he continues to bluster, “Seriously, that was so— I’m so sorry, are you okay? I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
“You’re the one who almost fell down the stairs like a cartoon villain,” Kate says. She releases her grip. “Are you good?”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” says the guy. He brushes himself off. “Sorry about that. Okay. I’ll, uh…” He glances up as if only just seeing Kate and frowns. “Is that a bow and arrow?”
(Or, Peter and Kate share a cab. Set between the end of No Way Home and the beginning of Hawkeye.)
