It happens so fast, not even Flash could have reacted in time. One moment, Superman is zipping through the air, and the next he's dropping like a stone. He smashes into the ground as complete dead weight, cratering the concrete. A golden haze shines from within and fades.

“You what?” Nancy’s shriek was truly a work of art. One Paz definitely wouldn’t go to the exhibit for, but a work of art nonetheless.
“Joker. Dead. I killed him.”
How many times was Paz going to have to go over this? This was only technically the second person, and she was already exhausted. She hadn’t even called her mother back yet. Maybe if she made cards? She could just hand them out when people inevitably asked her. No, that sounded too much like business cards for a hit-man. Well, if college didn’t work out, that was an option. Paz was a proven dead shot now. Sure, she’d definitely die immediately, but someone would probably pay her pretty well to do it.
“That is the hottest thing you’ve ever said to me,” Nancy informed her matter-of-factly.

Summary
In Beacon Hills, Stiles feels disappointed in those around him; he has been forgotten and unappreciated so many times. So he decides to take a job opportunity at the Daily Planet. However, he finds himself caught in the middle of danger. Suspicious lights and sounds in the desert at an unmarked facility seem safe, right? Wrong... The source, an alien, escaped in the last moments of its life, tackled Stiles, and transferred its soul into him. Luckily, Superman was nearby; however, he's not great at thinking, so he drops Stiles off at the Kent family farm in Smallville.
In Metropolis Stiles tries to find himself and be in his element, along with meeting a long online friend... who looks exactly like him and works for Lex Luthor. Being more observant than some of the interns at Daily Planet, unaffected by Clark's Magic disguise glasses, and having new powers himself, he was very quick to learn Clark's secret identity. While Stiles is running with a Kryponite, his friends back home begin to realize just how vital Stiles was in their lives. They believe they can get him back with just a simple sorry... however, Stiles isn't the same as he was back in Beacon Hills.
