In the months after the moon crashed on the Hermitcraft Server, no one has heard from the Hermits in that time. No news of season 9, no hermits have joined MCC, no extra projects. Nothing. Out of the blue a single message from the server’s admin reaches the outside world, but no one knows what to think of it. Meanwhile inside the server, the trapped players in the nether are about to face something to make the already dangerous server even deadlier. What awaits them? Only one way to find out.

Of course, touching the stars was going to have to wait, because he'd lost that dream the moment his parents had died when he was ten years old—the moment he had watched that starship explosion and felt a bit of his heart die with them. He'd lost that dream when he was transported to prison and then to a place called Pogtopia.
He'd lost that dream when he watched hundreds of children starve on the streets of Pogtopia. When he and two friends become the lone survivors of the Red Planet's Genocide. When they were rescued, and he was captured again.

Scar's not a bad guy, not really.
The heroes seemed to disagree, and Grian in particular is rather adamant about putting a stop to him and his crew's heists; Which would be troubling for Scar if Grian wasn't just so fun to fight. The pesky bird did keep getting in the way of his villainous schemes, though.
Scar's not a villain, though. Just a friendly civilian with a criminal track record that also happens to have superhuman powers, wanting to befriend the city's favorite avian hero. Too bad Grian can't see just how much the city needs what he's doing.

In which Mumbo crosses several towns, learns some creative methods of self-defense, fights some monsters, sees things no human is meant to have seen, befriends a stranger, steals multiple cars, has inconvenient moral scruples, grows increasingly terrified of his own culpability in the apocalypse, grows a spine, blows up at least one building, accidentally prevents a murder, and attempts to find his best friend in the futile but ever-burning hope the man’s still alive.
He has to say, he’s so exhausted and terrified that he thinks he might just be mad?
(OR: the one where, after most of humanity turns into a series of terrifying monsters, Mumbo decides he’s going to risk his life on an apocalypse road trip to try to find out if Grian is alive. Things, as you might imagine, devolve from there.)

Tommy's thoughts were interrupted by a deafening scream, and looked up to see a tall man with brown hair--holding a fucking guitar case of all things, staring at him with wide eyes. There was a loud thump.
“Who the hell are you!” The man asked in a high pitched yell. Tommy stepped forward and opened his mouth to answer in a threat, but stopped when he felt something under his foot. He had stepped on a knife… a knife? Oh fuck, the knife fell out of his wound. Oh god he was bleeding all over the place. So much blood, there was so much blood.
Tommy looked up again at the shocked man.“Fuck.” was all he could say before he passed out.
