“...Legend?” Hyrule whispers. Legend stares back at him before he finally speaks.
“Don’t wake me up.”
It’s a hollow rasp, dredged in fear, misery, and pain; the chain flinches as it scrapes at their skin, and their most experienced member, their world-weary veteran, passes out, dropping like a stone in a thrashing ocean. Legend falls forward into Sky and Hyrule’s arms, with Wind and Wild rushing to his sides, and Four, Warriors, Time, and Twilight reaching out to help.

Suddenly they’re disturbed by a groan in front of them. Legend coughs as he jerks upward, elbows shaking as they support him on Sky's sailcloth. He glances back to see them, then upwards to see the egg. Instead of panicking, he scoffs. “Well, that’s just great. Were you all a dream too?”“Are we a dream?” Hyrule echoes, a bit of fear dawning in his eyes.

He produces a piece of worn paper, showing it to Legend. “It’s addressed to Link, and from a... Marin–” At that, Legend snatches the paper and reads it feverishly. Unbeknownst to him, Warriors makes a considering noise upon hearing Marin’s name.“What the…”

My take on the Chain's first meeting You know how most first meetings have them go from era to era picking them up Well if you reread the start it's highly implied what happened is that 8 of them came through a portal and ended up in Time's era Where he had to go find and round up

Summary
A long time ago, the Sheikah hid away ten dice created by the Triforce for the Heroes' use with their dying breaths. The dice reappear as the Links chase the black-blooded monsters throughout Hyrule's history, facing the danger and drama that ensues as the monsters try to erase the identity of "Hero." Did the Sheikah really etch images related to each Link's death on their respective Die of the Sages?
Featuring Time with Bard levels, Twilight as a werewolf, Hyrule as a Fairy, Four's unusual colors, and many other Link shenanigans... including Echoes of Wisdom Link joining the Chain. (Spoiler warning for EoW!)

Everyone freezes.

Link– Pinky keeps the phantom sword raised, leveled at Wolfie. 'Enemy!'
"No, not an enemy! That's one of our brothers!"
'Our?' They turn and give Wind an incredulous look, and Wind does his best not to hiss. Yeah, he hasn't explained much of anything yet, huh? With their free hand they say, That is a wolf!
Or; Legend and Four are missing. Tension thrums beneath the surface in spite of the elder hero's attempts to hide it. Hyrule and Wild are going stir-crazy, finding their mother henning unbearable. With their current era unidentifiable and information scarce, the chain of heroes is reluctant to make a move. Annoyed by the inaction and with no one willing to tell him anything, Wind is determined to figure out what's going on himself— starting with the ghost who's been trailing them from afar.
The darkness continues to churn.

Wind is different from the other heroes. It's not just the fact that he's the youngest, though that's definitely a part of it. It's the fact that almost every other hero has these shared experiences that they can talk about around the campfire that bring them all joy, but when he does it everyone looks at him like he's grown a second head.
Wind grew up in a drowned Hyrule, with foreign creatures, unique travel methods, and a Triforce that never really belonged to him. How does the life he's lived affect his experiences with the others, and their Hyrules?

After a year of safety and recovery, Prince Legend is preparing to challenge the king and claim the throne. The kingdom is suffering from poverty, prejudice and war, and Legend’s new family cannot let that stand. It is time for plans to be made and rumors to be spread.
Follow the EOS boys as they continue to grow, as they plan and love and cry, as they fight injustice and support each other, and whoever they grow close to along the way.
Will Sky figure out how to live for himself? Will Warriors see that his value doesn’t lie in sacrifice? Will magic users be accepted, will the war be resolved peacefully, will the criminal organizations running rampant in Castle Town be stopped? (Will the character subplots and interludes ever stay within one chapter instead of growing lives of their own?)
OR Have fun storming the castle! The hardest part is what happens after :D
The (long-awaited?) sequel to EOS (in which the loose ends grow loose ends and we knit the unravelled storyline skeins up into a lovely tapestry.) Now with your fave supporting LU characters!

Wait, wait wait wait,” Warriors said, waving his hands in an x motion. “What do you mean you were imprisoned? Like, by the enemy?”
Twilight paused, looking over at the Captain. “No, the Knights of Hyrule didn’t know I was Hylian, I was in Wolf form and they thought I was a Twilight beast. I escaped pretty quickly, though, that was actually how I started my journey.”
Warriors leaned back, sighing heavily. “That’s- that’s so fucked up. How long-?”
“Well, I actually don’t know how long I was in jail, I woke up already imprisoned. It only took a few minutes to tunnel under the bars of the cell, though.”
Sky snorted, setting down his carving to sit near the duo. “I was unconscious when I was captured. I fell through a volcanic eruption, I dug under the bars too.”
Twilight grinned, slinging his arm over Sky’s shoulder. “That means we can be burrowing buddies.”

“I escaped through the vents!” He shouted, bouncing on his heels. As if telling a tale, he continued; “I was only in jail for like, two minutes!” Proudly, he leaned back on the balls of his feet, holding up two fingers as if to say ‘beat that.’“I crawled out of a very high window at the first opportunity,” Time deadpanned, appearing out of nowhere. Twilight jumped back, accidentally knocking Wild back over. a muffled ‘really, again?’ was heard from his facedown body. Time sighed, helping the two to their feet as Legend started his tale.
Legend sighed, before holding his hands up in a storytelling pose. “I was a wanted man! Most wanted in Hyrule, there were guards coming for me from everywhere!” he waved his hands around as Wind giggled. "But they couldn’t catch me!”

Four years?!” Wind shouted, balling up his fists. What for?”“Show off,” Legend muttered.
First laughed softly at the duo’s antics, before his face fell as he answered Wind’s question. “I was framed for an unspeakable crime.” He stared at his wrists mournfully as Wind started to mutter, frowning.
“Four years? That’s so unfair!” He was glaring at the ground like it had personally offended him, holding his hands against his head and directing feelings of outrage at the dirt.
“Ah,” Legend said, with a false air of knowledge. “Those’ll get ya.”
