Wemmbu has three rules:
1. Make good elytra.

3. Stay out of superhero nonsense.Unfortunately, the city has decided that rule three is optional.
Between heroes showing up at his workshop, villains taking an interest in his work, vigilantes appearing where they shouldn't, and people discovering that the weird mechanic down the street has a power of his own, Wemmbu's peaceful life is beginning to fall apart.
He doesn't want to be a hero.
He doesn't want to be a villain.
He doesn't even want to be a vigilante.
He just wants to go home, eat something, and complain about his customers.
Then someone decides it would be easier to take him by force.
This fic was originally a request from a reader! I loved the idea way too much, so here we are.

Summary

Parrot makes his way hesitantly back to Paragon, memories he so desperately tried to burry began surfacing again—he wandered around until entering the house he had built to find a chest with a book and quill inside.

Wemmbu knows he messed up that routine, it was his first mistake in what? 2 years? At least he thinks so, but here he was getting the lost cause treatment while flame got the little brother one, 'it was completely unfair!' he thought to himself. He knew what he was getting into when he asked Manepear to train him. He knew he was never going to be enough in his eyes. was he even something to begin with? He knew that he was going to be seen as just replaceable furniture compared with FlameFrags. And yet he felt a bit jealous, he has never had someone to hold him like Manepear does when flame gets injured in a routine (Which doesn't happen often). He hasn't even had someone who praises him like he's made of gold, I mean he has egg, but egg doesn't even skate! maybe it was a greedy thought, yet a yearning one, he yearned for someone to make he feel like he was enough. Not that he would tell anyone.

His favorite model, Gambit, was going to do his first interview ever. Ever since Egg had started his degree in photography, he had been looking to Gambit for inspiration, so being able to finally hear Gambit's thoughts about his modeling career is all he's dreamed about.
Except when Gambit starts talking, he can't help but think his voice sounds familiar. The more he thinks about it, the more impossible the outcome is.

Summary
In Unstable City, there's a lot of things that exist. Hybrids of all kinds, from dogs, to demons, to blazes. It's not unique, that's for sure, as the cities surrounding it, like Lifesteal City or Strength City, have their own quirks, and their own different hybrids of creatures and humans.
One thing Unstable City has that other cities do not, however, is an angel. Angels were hunted and killed down until near extinction for their abilities, which were said that one could receive if they ate an angel's heart.
It had been centuries since anyone's seen an angel, so that myth was yet to be proven.
Eggchan is an angel.
He works at a coffee shop. He does all the shifts, every last one, since the other employees all either ran off to be heroes, or died in the crossfire of the battles. Doesn't matter to Egg though. As long as he gets paid.
Staying safe isn't too hard.
Until heroes, vigilantes and villains alike decide that the coffee shop Egg works at is a great place to get coffee.
