Tubbo’s fingers froze. Where they were flying over the keyboard a mere seconds earlier, they were now left hovering in midair, and the sudden loss of clacking plunged the room into a foreboding silence.
“Who?” Ranboo spoke with a level voice, much calmer than if Tubbo had asked. Much calmer than the voices that were currently shrieking in his head.
As if he needed to ask.
Tommy waited until he couldn't take the silence anymore, and then he continued.
“Aren’t you going to say something?” He asked, huffing out a dry laugh. “If anything, you should congratulate me.”
“No, Tommy.” Tubbo hissed back as though he were speaking to a child. “As a matter of fact, I will not congratulate you for making yourself known to the Syndicate.”

Tommy had always wanted a family. And up until that very moment, Tubbo could have sworn with confidence that he was a part of it.
Now, he wasn’t so sure.

Summary
Dream hadn’t engaged much in conversation, seemingly preferring just to listen for now. Although Phil couldn’t ignore the creeping anxiety that maybe Dream wasn’t talking because he couldn’t talk. That something in his vocal cords or psyche had been irreparably damaged in Pandora. But he couldn’t dwell on that. Techno would tell him if that was the case, and any other…damage would become evident with time, they’d just have to adapt to whatever was thrown their way.
So despite his anxiety, Phil made sure not to direct questions Dream’s way, making sure to keep the conversation more general, leaving spaces for Dream to respond if he wanted, but not pressuring him into a situation where he felt cornered and like he needed to respond. Any actual questions were sent Techno’s way, and the three sat together, maybe not comfortably, but companionably.
And that was enough for now.
OR
Dream may have escaped Pandora, but its withering effect still lingers. He now has to learn how to exist as a person once more and to navigate the new dynamic he and Techno have stumbled into, thankfully, he's not alone.

Dream's eyes widened as he scooted himself backwards, trying to get his feet under himself "I-I don't know what you're talking about!" he clambered to his feet, hands clenched into fists at his sides as he tried to make himself seem bigger than he was. "A-A-And even if I did, no-one will ever believe you!"

Dream's been hiding more than just his face, and as his time in prison drags on, a new cellmate threatens to unravel every barrier he's built to hide behind. Unfortunately for him though, he doesn't quite care as much as he thought he would, and Techno is worryingly persuasive.

Pain radiated out from another sore spot on his head, and several places on his body. He blinked again, but everything stayed pitch black. He shivered and craned his head, trying to identify the limits of the space, but everything seemed to close up. His wing was broken. Grian couldn't fly.
