    He'd been training under Dream's wing, and honestly couldn't have asked for anything better! Except-

    He's suddenly asked by the Sleepy Bois Inc (one of the best hero groups in the country, his idols) to join them on one of their missions, and he's almost screaming in joy. Almost.

    But why do they keep insisting that Dream has been treating him wrong when the man had just wanted to make him better?

    "Hold on, I'm gonna get you out. Just let me-"

    He's cut off as the rubble rumbles and then rises as a figure lifts it with no help but with their own strength. Tommy takes a step back as he watches the hulking figure stand with heavy chunks of concrete on their back before they toss it aside.

    The loud bang of the concrete makes him flinch slightly before he looks up at the person he was trying to help.

    The air in his lungs escapes in one breath and his blood runs cold.

    He meets the red and unfortunately familiar eyes of a villain he never wanted to meet face to face. Especially on his own.

    Protesilaus, the hero killer, the Blood God, the Obliterator, the bloodthirsty monster children are told about to make them behave.

    He stands before Tommy now, in all his pink haired and royal regalia glory. A boar's skull as a mask Tommy swears is real (he bet on it, Ranboo owes him $50 if he's right).

    Or

    Tommy is just a simple sidekick but what happens when something too big for a sidekick to handle, happens.

    Tommy’s hands won’t stop shaking. They’re slick with blood—Techno’s blood—hot and sticky and soaking into every line of his skin. It smears up his wrists, clings to the gaps in his armour, already drying at the edges where it’s been there too long. The copper tang of it fills his mouth and nose until it’s all he can taste, all he can breathe.

    He knows his voice isn’t anything, not when Siren hovers over him, stronger, faster, and more powerful. A nationwide threat towering over a teenager. “Si, if you don’t let me go-”

    “You’ll what?” Siren challenges, “Tell me, what?”

    Tears brim in Tommy’s eyes. Really, sometimes, he does feel too young for this.

    “I’ll- I’ll make you, I’ll make you hear-” Tommy doesn’t want to though, not to Siren, not to his friend (but to a villain, to survive, must he?). “I’ll make you hear bad things.”

    Siren hums sadly. “But you won’t, will you? Just as I’d never use my power to hurt you.”

    Tommy’s heart takes a normal beat for the first time since Siren grabbed him. “Yeah,” He exhales in relief.

    “But you’re not being safe, are you?” Siren lets go of Tommy’s hands. “So don’t use your power and stay still.”

    It had been about 1 year and 8 months since Tommy got kidnapped. He’d gotten back to his usual routine with a few changes. He wasn’t really allowed to go anywhere without someone patrol close to his area, which was fine. There wasn't really a need for lockdown drills anymore but that had ended when he graduated. He finally entered the hero training program. Without a power he didn’t get to do much but he’d found that while he couldn’t fly he could glide which he put to use in training. With Techno’s guidance Tommy learnt to fight and with Wilbur he learnt how to think quickly and Phil taught him how take care of himself as well as civilians

    Everything was perfect.

    Well maybe perfect wasn’t quite the word. It was for a while but it all ended with a note. One slip of paper.

    Tommy was being moved to a different area to his family for extra training.

    Tommy is a sixteen year old hero sidekick, he works for the number one hero dream. Not only does he work for him but he also lives with him. Tommy had a house fire when he was 7, his parents both died, Tommy being the only survivor. Dream was the one to rescue Tommy. After the news his parents passed dream had offered to adopt Tommy. He then found out about Tommy's healing powers.

    Tommy grew older, Dream began to train Tommy so he could be a hero. He got more and more aggressive and strict towards him, more possessive.

    Let's say his teaching methods weren't...Nice. He wasn't even nice generally. Living with him was hell but, what could Tommy do about it? He's the number one hero after all.

    He became a sidekick and things got worse. So many scars from villains, so many nights where he had overused his powers. so many times he got into an argument or even a fight with dream.

    Dream is just not a good person. Tommy knew that, he did. He just... he just wanted to have some hope that somewhere in his heart was good.

    When he turned sixteen, dream had let him get a job and Bad's bakery. There he felt... more happy.

    It was like a home he never had.

    “Fuck you. You’re a bitch and a wrongun.” When Tommy is cornered, he resorts to insults.
