Leonard McCoy and Montgomery Scott were both workers at the Mystery Flesh Pit National Park. A few days before July 4th of 2007, Leonard was supposed to visit his family in Georgia with Montgomery. Unfortunately, Montgomery had to work, so Leonard stayed behind with him. So, the medic and trail engineer stayed behind and worked.

Sans wants more than freedom with Papyrus though, he plans on finding what weighs heavy on Frisk's heart.But nothing is what Sans expects, Frisks holds secrets he got wrong, and Papyrus earned more than a ticket to freedom.
