Dib is peacefully falling asleep, tilting over the very edge of consciousness, when his bedroom's window slides open.
Eyes closed, he lifts an arm and holds the comforter up - more a reflex than an actual, deliberate action - and waits for the now usual presence to slip next to him. Zim, after a second of hesitation, joins him under the covers.

Summary
There, sitting in a bush, caked in BigFeets' urine, hot and sticky under the summer sun, Dib began to realize what it meant.
Dib wants the day alone to hunt for BigFeets. Zim insists that he help him find GIR, who's somehow gone missing. Dib ends up finding much more than the robot-dog over the course of one eventful, taco-filled day.

Everyone is under intense scrutiny, and every time Dib tries to out Zim, rink staff come by and they both have to smile like everything is going swimmingly. Frustrated, Dib offers a truce just for tonight, and as a compromise they end up competing in the rink's wide array of arcade games.

Dib always knew aliens were real. Problem is, nobody else did. The announcement of the Area 51 raid seemed to be the answer to his prayers. When it turns out to be a big music festival/seriously-unfunny-joke, he’s disappointed but undeterred. Sneaking in yields better results anyway, allowing him to make off with an alien. Which he promptly agrees to take on a road trip to Washington D.C.
Or, AU where Zim’s incompetence gets him captured by the US government as soon as he lands and is consequently broken out during the Area 51 raid-by none other than Dib, his not-arch-nemesis.

Dib has to struggle to keep his mind intact while Zim rejoices in the fact that Dib can no longer bother him. Gaz is enjoying her newfound quiet time at home, but she can't shake the feeling that something is wrong.
