The person raised an eyebrow as their eyes scanned over Wemmbu. “No you’re… huh. You look almost identical to Wemmbu, just… off.” They brought their eyes back up to meet his. “Does Wemmbu have a twin I wasn’t aware of?”

The last time Parrot had seen Boey in PvP Civilization was before his imprisonment at the hands of the Iron Swords. He knew the boy as someone bright and cheerful. Talkative and friendly. He trusted every player who even looked at him, believed every single word, and never seemed to second guess himself.
Seeing Boey again, after Parrot was brought to Parkour Civilization, was an awakening that he never realized waited for him.
The worst part, though… was the fact that Boey didn’t hate him. Boey hadn’t treated Parrot with even a hint of suspicion or anger. His wordless apology was accepted without hesitance.
And what Parrot couldn’t figure out was why.
Why would Boey still trust him?
Why did nobody treat him like the terrible person he was?After living in Parkour Civilization for well over a year now, Parrot can't help but constantly ask himself one vital question.

And yet Evbo had looked at all of that, this man who should know better, he’s older, he’s wiser, he’s Boey, he looked at all of that and decided that it was worth it to scrub all of that away. Why? He tried to be weak but Evbo didn’t kill him. He only helped him to sit up and eat and let him sleep. He tried to be weak for the man who was trying to make him stronger.
He tried to be dumb, to pretend like he didn’t understand their intentions so they would find more pleasure in betraying him, but it only made him feel so much stupider because they kept not doing that.
He tried to be slow, but Evbo had picked him up and carried him like something precious.
He tried to be filthy, and Evbo argued with his husband just to help scrub him clean.
And all of those lessons suddenly just… didn’t make sense.
How long would this charade last? How long would they lead him along? Let him believe that he was safe?Boey reflects on the situation he finds himself in... and meets EMF for the first time.

Seawatt dragged me here himself once to get me evaluated, too.”
