Summary

Harry has been living with Snape for a few weeks now; settling in is a tricky process, but one that he's grateful for regardless.~~~
Snape places down a small sideplate next to Harry's essay, two chocolate Digestives sliding across it as he puts it down.
"Don't forget to get yourself a glass of water if you're thirsty, Potter." The words aren't harsh, if anything they're almost soft, like the feeling of a wool blanket, not quite scratchy, not quite soft, and it's enough for Harry to blink up at the man once, twice, before ducking his head again, nodding.
(Snape's expression was nigh-on blank, but his eyes... The light in them was worried, Harry thinks. He could have been wrong, admittedly, but it's something about the molten-soft edges, the furrow of his eyebrows, the way his attention had lingered on Harry, on his dry lips and too-thin wrists and on the papers splayed out over the table.

His mind healer kept trying to get him to feel his feelings instead of pushing them down. Granger wouldn't stop bloody annoying him. But he was fine... so why couldn't he stop thinking about dying?

Petunia is scared that Harry might lose it again after the Aunt Marge Incident and refuses to let him come back. Dumbledore can't replace the protections, but he can do the best thing: make Snape take him in.
Remus ends up biting Harry during the full moon. So Remus, now out of a job for attacking a student, decides to move in with Sirius to help him after living in Azkaban for twelve years, not knowing Dumbledore has decided that's the perfect place for Snape and Harry to stay. Sirius lets Snape stay in the Grimmauld Place only because of Harry.
Harry is messed up, or at least he thinks so; he hides under the bed when the adults look upset; he's always cleaning or working on something. And he's always getting hurt. He knows why; he knows the wolf in his head says he can trust them, but not yet, not until he knows for sure. Not until he breaks and they get rid of him too.
(Also, Drarry, but that's later.)
(The old men do fall in love later, after they get to know each other.)

Summary
This is the continuation of my story: The Inner Light - HP Style. The first chapter is a summary of the previous story, so if the tags speak to you, you should be able to read it without too much confusion.
It is an exploration of the aftermath of the war, and how everyone deals with it. The main character is Severus Snape, who survived the war, but there will be chapters about other characters too. I needed some OCs to tell the story I wanted to tell because I didn't want to entirely rewrite canon characters to fit.
I address the changing world, try to find solutions to the most blatant problems the wizarding world has without making it too easy, and fokus on character developement and growth.
Alas, I felt writing a simple slice of life type story was boring as heck, so since I love torturing my characters, there are vicious attacks on Severus Snape, and they have to find out who it is. It turns out, there's more to it than the eye can see, and someone might lead a dark cabal to derail any changes in the wizarding world.
