Adora has never really thought much about how she looked. She knew that other people cared by-- a weird amount, but she always thought it was a lot of work that didn't amount to anything. She was apparently pretty, and Catra loved her.
Then, Catra makes an idle comment relating to a new dress Glimmer had bought. Specifically, the way it rested on her hips. Suddenly, Adora realized that Catra did notice other girls. And she trusted Catra, obviously, but that wasn't the point. The point was that somebody had beaten her at something. Not just something; the most important thing.
And Adora isn't the sort of person that lost.
There's a party coming up in four hours. Adora can learn everything there is to know about fashion by then, right?

Jesus christ, Hordak. Catra closed her eyes, letting her brain work through each way she would kill her boss. Most assassins in the Horde were given a raise, not a fucking death wish. She walked further, feet hitting the pavement hard as she digested the brief, savouring her task. Bright Moon was a fortress, for starters. Even a hitman as good as Catra would be shot dead on sight. And she was the best Hordak's sorry forces had to offer.
Adora Grayskull - the name that had wrapped itself around Hordak's usually straight sight. Catra didn't tend to doubt her boss, but making her target a complete random frustrated her. She didn't see how this would bring down Bright Moon, and she didn't see why she had to waste her time on it. She sighed, forcing her mind to breathe. Of course, if Hordak wanted something done his pawn would do it. She didn't have a fucking choice.
OR: Catra's boss takes disposable to a new level and tasks her with the assassination of Adora in accordance with Operation Bright Moon.

Oh, yes, paleblood...well, you've come to the right place. Welcome to the SPOP Bloodborne AU, which is probably the most anti-SPOP fic I will write.
Let me clarify that I will be doing my best to bring She-Ra's characters and their characteristics through, but this is a fusion with Bloodborne and that world is the polar opposite of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
So, in the end, no one will be saved. No one's love is enough. You cannot break the chains of fate, and the choices made will only make things worse. We are born of the blood, made by the blood, and are undone by the blood. Though our eyes have yet to open, we must fear the old blood even here.
If a darker fic with some gore, death, and eldritch and cosmic horrors isn't your cup of tea this AU won't be either. On the other hand, if you enjoy getting to watch good people fall and good intentions become twisted, if you love watching bad people turn themselves around only to doom everyone and everything they’ve ever loved, then welcome home good hunter!
