Summary
Ex knew something was wrong the moment he saw X slinking toward his base. Ex’s view from their evil tower- which was very evil and not just a normal stone tower, no matter what Grian said- allowed him to see anyone entering his base from his bedroom, so though he knew this probably wasn’t a good thing, they still dragged themself downstairs to greet him. About the same time they made it down the far-too-many stairs, there was a knock on the door. Ex swung it open to see a very slouchy X on the other side.
“You look like crap.” They greeted.
X sighed just loudly enough for Ex to hear him.
“I’ve been told. Can I come in?”
AKA- X just wants some peace, and Ex wants to help him, whatever it takes. Unfortunately, though, they decided to put their own health on the backburner to achieve this goal, which might turn out to be a mistake.

Ex was tired. He was tired, and he kind of missed the void. But nooo, some weird god thing had pulled him out, throwing him into some other strange plane of existence for a ‘second chance.’ A second chance that was starting to make him feel more vengeful than years in the void ever had. Seriously, they hadn't gotten more than a couple hours of rest in days. They were cranky, and more than anything they were tired.
Whatever this attempt at rehabilitating them was, it was obviously going wrong. He was pretty sure that the work here was supposed to be monotonous and annoying, maybe mirroring how it was for other people to deal with his nonsense back in his brother’s server, but he didn’t think it was supposed to leave him in a perpetual state of exhaustion and dread. No, that was the Hermits’ fault.

Summary
There had been a thievery within the ranks.
This wasn’t exactly a rare occurrence- as much as Wels trusted every one of the members of the rebellion, living in such close quarters was bound to result in items going missing. Most often, it was a simple mistake- someone grabbed the wrong toothbrush, a favored shirt tossed in the wrong hamper, two swords getting switched in the forge. The culprit was usually wholly unaware and more than willing to hand the missing item back. That wasn’t the case this time, though.
The item that had gone missing was a guitar.

Doc would never have considered himself a relatively profound friend of Ren’s. They were friends, for certain, but in the same way Doc would consider himself a friend of Joe’s or a friend of Scar’s. They interact. They spend time together. They sometimes collaborate on builds.
And, on occasion, Doc supposes that friendship extends to pulling the man from lava and attempting to salvage what bits of him have been destroyed and mangled from a near disastrous end of a season.
But, really, he should know the man better. He should have some sense of who Ren is, of what he needs, what he does, yet the man sat before him… He’s not certain it’s Ren at all.
And Doc doesn’t know enough to explain why…

Summary
A collection of all the stories in Traveling Thieves, which is my Dark Fantasy, Hybrid Slavery, super angsty AU that spawned from my Whumptober 2023 prompt fills! Currently in semi-chronological order except for the first fic in the series, which will always be “I see the danger, it’s written there in your eyes” which if anyone does want to read the series in chronological order, I’d like them to start there! ^-^ I also occasionally place some stories in specific locations that I think work best for the reading order that aren't exactly where they'd be timeline-wise!
WARNING: THIS IS A WHUMP-CENTRIC, ANGST-CENTRIC, HURT/COMFORT (SOMETIMES NO COMFORT) DARK FANTASY AU.

Summary
Etho does something marginally stupid and finds himself changed.
The universe only unravels from there. But one way or another, it will find a way to put itself back together.
Or: Actions, reactions, and the associated consequences regarding a series of unexpected, and highly coincidental interconnect events...
It's almost as though this wasn't pure coincidence.
(I recommend reading this series in order, as the fics build off each other and are all interconnected)

There’s plenty of things he’s been waiting for— a sign, a reason, a why— but this?

A private smile. Even through the mask, Bdubs can see it. “Not yet.”

Leafkit is born with kudzu around her throat.
It is, of course, her daemon, her heart-plant, the other half of her soul. It is a gift given to her by the very stars above, a blessing from Starclan, and it wraps tightly around her paws, and blooms across her back, and digs its roots in deeper, as she grows and loves and loses, again and again and again.
She's never been good at wanting only what Starclan wished for her.
