Line of work, as if she’s not contributing to people’s addictions, and potential deaths. Jay wants to laugh, even though he knows it’s not exactly her fault, but he also knows that he’s not stupid— he’s spent a majority of his life on film sets, knows when people are genuine and when they’re not. Addiction’s a disease and all, and it’s not like Nya has the cure, but she doesn’t have to dish the virus out, either. She’s pretty, and seems smart enough, yet, she’s doing this for a living. Really, it’s bad enough to be an addict, but how do you justify being the dealer?
jay and cole’s job was simple enough; take a delivery from Borg Industries to Kryptarium Prison. get paid. continue on with their lives. they just didn’t expect to get mixed up with the smith-jiang family, or the absolute dynasty that is the drug cartel that they run.

Ronin doubted for the past fifteen or twenty years that he had it anywhere in his pathetic, rusty little heart to feel genuine sympathy for another sentient being, but apparently the robot was an exception. He wasn’t even sure if he could even think of the thing as anything past a walking, talking repository of potential funds, let alone a living person, but whoever made it- him- must’ve been either an artist or a sadist, because he was way too realistic for Ronin’s comfort.

One of Morro's plans works a bit too well. Of course, there are consequences to meddling with destiny that not even Cloud Kingdom could've been ready for.
"Ghoultar didn't get to scream. In fact, he barely got to process the blade that beheaded him before he dissapeared, no sign of the ghost ever being there in the first place. But if he could, Cole wouldn't hear it anyway. Cries of his family haunted him still, drowning out everything else. His heart ached and if he were not a ghost, he'd cry and scream and throw up. If he were not a ghost, he wouldn't be alone."

When the high from the fight has died down and his mind is clear, all he’s left with is a pretty face glaring back at him with utter contempt through the makeshift cell. He doesn’t get it at first, he’s committed worse atrocities in his life, she knows this. Hell, they were enemies once. So why is she so mad now?
He tries snarking at them. Expecting them all, her especially, to bite back and maybe even offer a sort of bargain to make amends and they can be on their way. But the only thing that he hears leave her lips is a disgusted scoff, and she walks away without any further comment, along with the others. It leaves him feeling hollow.

Ronin is in prison for his crimes against the Keepers. He gains a regular visitor, and occasional others, but they’re all never the one he truly wants to see.-
