Summary
For Dream and Wilbur, being judged by their past actions and dubbed a "bad guy" or "tyrant" is nothing new. Even though no one else seems to believe them, they both have changed greatly from the men they once were. Brutal torture and being dead for thirteen and a half years created plenty of time for them to reflect and regret past actions. Dream and Wilbur find great comfort in the fact that they each want to erase all the pain they caused people who were once considered friends. Sadly, there is no way to change the past... Unless...

~~~ Rewrite of my story "If Only They Could See How Much You've Changed" ~~~
“Dream, if you could take it all back, would you?”
“Without hesitation. No Disc War, no war for L’Manburg’s independence, no exile… No prison.”
“Yeah, that’d be nice… I’d take it back too if I could. I thought that destroying L'Manburg would solve everything, but it just created more problems. I’ve hurt so many people.”
“We’ve hurt so many people… Are we monsters, Wil?”
“No. We’ve made a lot of mistakes, but that doesn’t make us evil.”
“I hope you’re right… Prime, I’d do anything to be able to go back and fix it all…”
Suddenly, Wilbur’s house is illuminated by a bright, blinding flash of light, followed by pure darkness. Meanwhile, the small beige couch where the two men sat conversing is completely empty, neither of them anywhere to be spotted. At least, not in this timeline.
Or, a conversation between Dream and Wilbur about their regrets leads to them getting sent back in time with the opportunity to mend broken relationships and fix the mistakes they've made.

“What?” George asks.
“Um,” Sapnap starts, keeping his eyes on the small pile of clothes, still refusing to look his alpha in the eyes, “nothing.”
He clambers into the nest, prickles of anxiety crawling up his neck and making his stomach feel like it’s in knots while he continues building up his nest. His sweet cocoa scent smells a little spoiled, and he knows that must be pissing the alpha off.
What if George gets too annoyed? What if he gets frustrated by the smell of fear and anxiety when in reality Sapnap should be feeling safe with him? So frustrated in fact that he bites Sapnap a little too hard, claws at him, hits him, kicks him out of his own nest?

Trauma from a previous heat partner has made it hard for Sapnap to trust and let his new alphas, Dream and George, help him. He gives them a chance though, hopeful that all will go well and he won’t have to experience another horrible heat. Unfortunately, his two alphas let their instincts get the better of them, bringing Sapnap back to a part of his life that he just wants to forget.

Summary
Sapnap finds out a lot about himself and George. He doesn't handle any of it well.

What if George doesn’t want to talk to him? What if he blew it for good? What if-
“Would you just get in here instead of shuffling around in the hall like an idiot?” George’s voice calls out to him and Sapnap feels a sense of contentment settle over him at just that small amount of interaction. He presses his hand against the door and takes a step in.
George’s room is in slightly better condition than Sapnap’s, if only because it’s not covered in week-old slick and cum. There’s clothes everywhere and the trash can by his desk is overflowing onto the floor. George is on his bed, naked from the waist up with his face covered in stubble that looks like it’s been growing out since he left Sapnap’s room. Maybe it has.
“George?” Sapnap says his name softly. There are dark circles under the eyes that turn to greet him. Sapnap stops in his tracks. “George?”
Brown eyes flash bright and George’s body lifts from the bed snappily. He strides up to Sapnap, reaching behind him to shut the door harshly. He smells like himself. Sapnap has to resist the urge to drink it in openly. “What do you want?”

the arguing went back and forth, the words were a jumbled mess and to anyone watching it looked like one big old prank and good news was coming out of this stupid little skit george and dream were doing. except the arguing was real and after a couple of minutes, chat started to catch on that something bad was happening. that this was not a joke, that george was on the verge of crying, that dream looked really angry, and that there is definitely a bigger picture they were missing.
"this is why we broke up!" dream sighed out in exapaseration, his eyes sliding close as he puts his hand in his hair. those six letter words were what put a stop to the world and its motion. georges breath hitched as his eyes flickered towards dream and the camera.
