    Sapnap’s life is good at Badlands ranch. He’s got two dads who love him, an obnoxious little brother, and three almost siblings. Of course good things end, but that by no means implies he has to be happy about it.

    Quackity just wants his school tuition to be cheaper. Getting away from Schlatt is a great bonus though. Really how hard can it be to care for some animals on a ranch though.

    Karl is going to do something good before he graduates so help him god. If that’s what Badlands ranch provides he’ll take it even with the sour look on the owners son’s face.

    Sneeg doesn’t rush up to Philza and the others in the same way that Tubbo had. Tommy doesn’t miss the caution-concern-wariness he sends in his direction, and that of the Nova Corps who are doing their best to look as non-threatening as possible, but Sneeg doesn’t do anything that Tommy would read as threatening, so he takes it as a win.
    Realises he’s taken his eyes off of Tubbo too, and in those scant few seconds, the Titraier has jumped closer, standing directly in front of him. Tommy didn’t notice at first. He’s not used to looking so far down.

    “You’re… um—” Tommy fumbles, reaching for a greeting but his brain is blanking him in the face of the sudden way he shoots up, hovering about an inch from his face. He thinks he hears Techno say Tubbo’s name, but Tubbo ignores him. His antennae flick and twitch, and Tommy silently wonders what Tubbo is reading from the small movements, and he kind of wants to ask, until Tubbo pulls his beak back into something that can only be described as a grin and says; “I’m pretty sure I’m the first in my swarm to come face to face with a human. That’s pretty cool.”

He fought against the Dkaræ bare-handed, protected Blue and Philza from the Demon armed with little more than his teeth and yet there’s no oxygen in his lungs and Tommy can’t tell if the shadows in the corners of the room is Sam admitting his presence or his own light-headedness.
    “And Philza—If Blue hadn’t said anything when we were still in the cell, I’m pretty sure that Philza would’ve kill me too, and then we were leaving and yet you didn’t react,” Tommy says, words coming faster, “and from what Blue said—and the Dkaræ were terrified—”

    “What did Blue say?” Techno says, interrupting Tommy before he can get side-tracked too far, the hand on Tommy’s shoulder comforting and oh so terrifying, because if Tommy gets this wrong, he won’t be shipped off to Pluto with a thousand other kids like him, he’ll be dumped on Srulæn with five humans and seen the same kind of worthless that everyone else in the universe sees him as.

    Or: Tommy has a something meaningful to him, but he’s terrified to claim it for himself.

When the case is quickly dropped, Bad pulls together a group to go looking.
    Of course, the Dream Team is still alive. Trapped in a small room with no way to contact the outside world and no way to escape, they have to try and keep morale up. These people don’t want to kill them—actually, it’s the opposite.

    Vaguely linear but honestly as long as you've read the first one things should make sense. I'll update with a chronological order later (update: no I won’t).

    Just a few notes:
    -there aren't actually open requests for this series; it's meant to be a way to destress and deal with some stuff that I've lived through that isn't nice
    -I do not own a service dog, so any information regarding them may be inaccurate. I've done some research but probably not enough, so I will work on it as the series continues (update: this will eventually change as me getting a service dog is now likely)
    -any and all panic attacks/anxiety attacks/passing out moments featured are based off of my own experiences
    -if anyone comments about their own mental/physical health (excluding certain things), I'm not going to respond to that part of the comment. I'm not a doctor, and I shouldn't be giving out that kind of advice for the most part. Hopefully you don't take that as offensive, I will still reply to the rest of the comment if there is one, it's just my discretion so that I don't have to have that kind of thing weighing on me if I give bad advice. A blue light on the console blinks, which means that the weapons on the Aegis are prepared to intercept. “Weapons hold but be prepared to return fire,” she orders, not wanting to blow up a ship if it is friendly.

    “Visual incoming,” Vos calls from where he has been monitoring the Aegis’s sensors and the information flooding to him from the forward ships of the fleet. On the main ship display an overlay lights up with an enhanced image of the source of the signal.

    It’s a small craft designed for orbital flight, but not atmospheric, without wings or a tail, or anything to use the wind-drag to keep it airborne.
    It isn’t recognisable to anything that Puffy has thus fought against, but considering Foolish’s scans and the incoming knowledge that the shuttle holds no offensive weaponry—nothing at all save for strong shields and a basic propulsion system that doesn’t seem suited to orbital or void manoeuvres—

    Or: Tommy trusted them. They weren’t Human, so he would’ve never expected them to betray him just the same.

    Tommy doesn’t know what the others see when they look at him.

    Maybe, at first, all they see is his exhaustion that clings to him like a second skin; something that he hasn’t truly been able to shake since waking from Daroda’s destruction, clawing back his mind from a sleep so deep it had taken him several hours to truly wake. Maybe they barely see the solder burns that mark up his arms, the deep shadows beneath his eyes, the harsh glare that’s permanently fixed itself to his face as he throws himself over and over at the problem that stands in front of him. If it was an enemy, he’d have no problem beating his fists into it until it was either dead or destroyed, never mind the destruction he’d bring upon himself.
    But the obstacle that stands in front of him is not something that simply needs breaking-killing-destroying.

    Or: War cannot be outrun, only delayed.
