Summary
Tango is a blaze/avian hybrid.
His mother was a blaze hybrid and his father an avian.
When Tango was born, people assumed he was just a blaze hybrid.
His wings never came in, no feathers appeared/grew anywhere on his body to speak of, he just had his father’s bird like instincts (smushed together with his mom’s of course) and vocalizations.
Tango is what is called a false hybrid [an hybrid who does not have physical attributes of their hybrid nature, instead only having the internal attributes (instincts and sometimes vocalizations)].
He also decided not to tell anyone this information, not because he did not trust them or something.
Far from it.
He never told anyone because he thought it was not that important to tell.
or, 5 times ppl did not realize Tango was a false avian + 1 times someone did.

Summary
This is a compilation of all the pieces that take place within my Over-City/Under-City AU, which is also a Hot Guy/Cute Guy Superhero AU, though that's not the only thing that'll be going on! I plan to keep this series in chronological order, so I'll put all the pieces where they'd fall along the timeline, which may sometimes not line up with the publishing date. The exception to this is 'Pretty Boy' which, IF someone does want to read the whole series in order, I'd want them to have read that one first and then all the rest, so 'Pretty Boy' will always be the first fic in the line-up, but after that you could read chronologically or just bounce around as you please! I've written all of these to mostly stand-alone, so you shouldn't be too terribly confused no matter where you decide to start up!

With a server filled with so many different kinds of hybrids, everyone knew that misunderstandings were going to occur. What was seen as polite in one culture screamed hostility in another, what was seen as rude to some of them was basically a marriage proposal to others. It had been a problem at first, their very definitions of words had been different between species, and they had taken quite a long time to figure that out and clear it up. But they had figured it out, and they'd had many long and confusing conversations to try and make sure that they were all on the same page.
They all knew to try not to jump to conclusions when it came to things that were only implied instinctively and not explicitly, and over the years they'd been friends they'd all got quite good at asking for clarification when they were confused.
They'd got so good in fact, that they'd started reaching the point where they stopped having problems. It helped, of course, that they'd done some research into each other's species and the cultures that surrounded them, so they were actually quite good at understanding each other by this point.
Still, even after all that time, it was something as simple as a feather that stumped Scott.

Jimmy nodded seriously, as though Tango’s words had made any sense. Then, in a move much smoother than the clumsy avian normally managed, he bent down and scooped Scott into his arms, taking off down the hallway before he had even registered what was going on. Scott considered yelling, but he was a simple man, and he was glad to be off his feet and get the opportunity to get up close and personal with Jimmy’s arms. He knew Jimmy went to the gym, but knowing and feeling were two very different things.
“Awwww, my favourite bluebell,” Tango cooed, as though his own face wasn’t bright red from Jimmy’s little show of strength.
“You’re just jealous,” Scott replied, resting his head on Jimmy’s shoulder and smirking in the way that he knew always made Tango just a little bit insane. His boyfriend liked it when he looked confident.

A piglin with strength that could rival the fabled Blood God that calls the Over World home. Some say that no such piglin exists, that its all just a story to make young piglets behave. This piglin was named Matriarch of War, for they had fought in the Nether Wars centuries ago along with the Human Wars. It is said that they had died out, faded into the Soulsand plains where their last breath was taken.
Technoblade knew of this piglin, even fought alongside them years ago. Now he as to resurface in the nether to find them. He just never told Wilbur he knew them.

The air was cold and the night was silent in the forest. Night bugs buzzed lazily in the air and nocturnal creatures rustled quietly in the foliage.
The silence was torn apart by racing footsteps beating against the ground as someone came running through the trees, heaving heavy, panicked breaths as they ran.
Tango sprinted as fast as he could through the forest, stumbling over tree roots and other things, wincing as they cut at his feet. He wished he’d have thought to grab a pair of shoes before he’d bolted. But he’d been desperate, and desperate people don’t have time for shoes.
