Kneeling on the sticky tile floor, Star trying to soothe him with shaking hands, Jotaro cries. He cries, and cries, and cries.
When he steps out of the bathroom, his soiled boxers hidden deep within the trash and a too-tight pair of stolen hospital-issue briefs pulled on, Jotaro stands up straight, sits down in his chair and pulls his hat back over his eyes.
He doesn’t cry again after that. He sits there and waits and feels rot set in deep within his soul.
