Summary
Martyn awoke with a sharp, shuddering breath, his lungs filling almost unwillingly as he shot upright. His body was on fire, the sensation flowing through his veins and culminating in his stomach like a stab wound. Which didn't seem all that far from the truth as he considered it.
“Welcome back to the land of the living." A voice came from his side, and he whipped his head around to see Grian crouching next to him. "How are you feeling?”
Martyn raised a shaking hand to eye level, turning it back and forth. It was covered in blood that glittered in the moonlight, nearly black. There was a violent wound torn into his stomach, barely held together by threads of golden magic.
“Did…am I dead?” He looked up at Grian, a feeling of dread pooling in his stomach along with the blood. “Did Scar kill me?”
“Yep.” Grian extended a hand to help him up. “And you were dead, but you’re back now. So welcome back to the land of the living.”

Summary
Shen Qingqiu, notorious black powder fan of Proud Immortal Demon Way, does, in fact, have interests outside of shitty webnovels, despite haters' claims to the contrary. For example: the classic American xuanhuan space opera Star Wars. So when he stumbles across a 15 million word Star Wars AU fanfic of his most beloathed stallion novel with a strangely familiar writing style, he can't help but binge the whole thing in a week.
After his unfortunate death mid-angry-rant at what is clearly one of Airplane Shooting Towards The Sky's sockpuppet accounts wasting time re-writing the same drivel instead of improving his original work, Shen Qingqiu wakes up in the fanfic that caused his rage-fueled demise.
And, well, what else is there to do, but hug the protagonist's thighs and explore the breadth of a galaxy far, far away.

Summary
A collection of all the stories in Traveling Thieves, which is my Dark Fantasy, Hybrid Slavery, super angsty AU that spawned from my Whumptober 2023 prompt fills! Currently in semi-chronological order except for the first fic in the series, which will always be “I see the danger, it’s written there in your eyes” which if anyone does want to read the series in chronological order, I’d like them to start there! ^-^ I also occasionally place some stories in specific locations that I think work best for the reading order that aren't exactly where they'd be timeline-wise!
WARNING: THIS IS A WHUMP-CENTRIC, ANGST-CENTRIC, HURT/COMFORT (SOMETIMES NO COMFORT) DARK FANTASY AU.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the tags before you dive into any stories of this one, this series is intended to be a place for me to try my hand at writing and exploring some darker themes.

The boy does not talk. He’s been silent since they pulled him from the crown prince’s bedroom, a bloody dagger held right above Katchian.

Summary
The worst part was the last few moments.
Straining for all he was worth, wings burning and aching with exhaustion built up to the roots. When his talons brushed the dirt, he felt the warning signs, pinpricks racing around his collar, letting him know he was about to make a mistake. Which wasn’t his fault. Grian was well aware of that much.
He’d crash-land anyway.
{In which Grian is suspicious of his new masters, Scar and Mumbo have zero clue how to take care of avians, the world is there to hurt, be hurt, or get stolen from, and in the end, someone always has to get lucky. Grian's hoping this time around, it'll finally be him.}

Grian froze. The hands over his knee tightened, and the feathers along his shoulders, at the base of his wings, puffed up. Scar raised a brow, and Grian only shook his head, a slight shudder in his body. There may have been something haunted in his eyes.
“Yes,” He said in a quiet, hoarse voice, “tell me more?”

In which Scar gets some unexpected fans. He'd probably like them a lot more if they quit staring all the time. And stopped interrupting his sleep. And learned to explain themselves every once in a while. But, to be fair, he thinks that last one might be a family trait.

Summary
He’s certainly not the worst roommate candidate that Mumbo’s talked to, by any means. It’s just that, well, he looks so terribly miserable . But also like he’s trying not to look miserable. Smiling but definitely on the brink of tears. Mumbo’s lost the thread of their conversation to his own thoughts. Should he bring it up? Will that only make things worse?
He can’t think of anything else to say and so gently cuts Grian off. “Um, sorry to interrupt, but are you alright?”
Grian breathes, slow and measured but shaky, before putting on a much less convincing grin. “I’ve had a rough couple of weeks.”
