   Three steps, when just yesterday he would have needed to ask Scott for a shirt to borrow and company to entertain so he could scrub his clothes in the lake behind the Cabin.

   The contrast is funny. Almost. It has the potential to be, if Etho could work his tongue around a joke over the joys of a materialistic life.

   Summary

   Etho wakes up slowly. His body feels sore, and when he tries to bring his hands up to his face to rub his eyes, he finds he can't.

   He tugs on his hands, trying to bring them up to his face and finds them tied to the back legs of the wooden chair he is sitting on.

   Actually so are his legs and chest/upper arms.

   ‘Wait…what’s going on?’ he thinks.

   He groggily blinks his eyes hard, trying to get a better look at his surroundings.

   “You're finally awake!” Someone says cheerfully from the shadows across the room.

   The fox hybrid looks in the direction of the voice, recognizing it quickly, “Joel!” he says, “what’s going on?”

   “You know how you said I’m obsessed with you?” Joel asks, stepping out of the shadows, his kimono swishing around his legs as the tanuki walks. He has a grin on his face, a look that is slightly off putting, and unnerving, like that of someone who has gone crazy.

   He stops in front of the fox hybrid, and leans forward, putting his left hand on Etho’s left knee for support, whispering in the fox hybrid’s white furred left ear, “you were right.”

    Summary

    Scar has never been a good student. He picks on people for no good reason other than the fact that he can’t deal with his problems in any other way. One day, Scar gets into a fight with another kid. He brutally beats him in front of everyone, and he is suspended. After a while the kid’s family presses charges, and to escape both the charges and his issues with life at home, he runs away, learning the beauty of life while far from home.

    He might just fall in love with his best friend while he’s at it.

    Summary

    She tore through them, until nothing remained. Of the many that hunted her that night, none would ever return to the village. Their blood soaked the enchanted ground, a crimson that provided the soil with nutrients and the animals food for weeks to come.

    Adrenaline began to seep from her system, the pain that began to flare a reminder of what she fled for. The wolf pulled her injured body further into the depths of the forest until she found a cave. To the sounds of the rushing water her son drew his first breath. Pale and quiet, he was blessed with his mothers silver hair, though his eyes came from his father. They were a deep shade of crimson, blinking as they beheld the darkness. The wolf licked the infant over, who did not scream or cry, blindly snuggling into her fur.

    He knew not of how different they truly were, only that he loved her.

    Etho had always been different from the other kids in the castle, though an encounter with a fae drives forth the realization that the differences were far greater than he knew. Forcing himself into denial comes at a cost when asked to participate in a hunt and he discovers a past he forgot and a future he never intended.

    Summary

    Etho wakes up slowly. His body feels sore, and when he tries to bring his hands up to his face to rub his eyes, he finds he can't.

    He pulls on his hands and finds them tied to the back legs of the wooden chair he is sitting on.

    Actually so are his legs and chest/upper arms.

    “You're finally awake!” Someone says cheerfully from the shadows across the room.

    The fox hybrid recognizes that voice instantly, “Joel!” he says, “what’s going on?”

    “You know how you said I’m obsessed with you?” Joel asks, stepping out of the shadows, his kimono swishing around his legs as the tanuki walks.

    He stops in front of the fox hybrid, and leans forward, whispering in Etho’s right ear, “you were right.”

    or, Joel kidnaps Etho and locks him in his basement.
