Summary
This story picks up after Agent Carter Season 2. Peggy Carter decides to leave Steve Rogers behind and settle down in Los Angeles with Daniel Sousa. Jack Thompson, who didn't take Michael Carter's documents, remains alive and joins Peggy and Daniel at the SSR in Los Angeles.
Following the events of Frost and Zero Matter, Howard Stark becomes deeply interested in space and time. He works tirelessly in his lab, developing a new device that he calls the "Quantum Oscillation Stabilizer."
Fearing another Zero Matter event, Edwin Jarvis enlists the help of the SSR trio to dissuade Howard. Just as Howard thinks the "Quantum Oscillation Stabilizer" has failed, Jack accidentally spills an unidentified liquid.
They accidentally travel to an unknown time and space and base, where they discover Howard's future death, the Winter Soldier Program, six corpses, Steve Rogers' shield, and the near-death Iron Man.

It started like all his days had for the last four months; bleak. He’d woken before the mission to the replay of the love of his life falling to his death. Again. Then he’d done his fucking job. Then he found himself piloting a fucking missile and Peggy was right, she probably could’ve found another way but honestly? He just wanted to be with Bucky again. So what’d he do? He crashed the plane into the arctic, supper serum keeping him conscious far longer than a normal person as he slowly drowned.
Then he woke up in said love of his life's apartment. Seventy years had gone by, but really, what's a century for a couple of supper soldiers?
(or, the one where Bucky is already there when Steve wakes up and fully deprogrammed and adjusted to modern life.)

Summary
Finding out about his parents' murder at the hand of the Winter Soldier, Captain America's old war buddy, pushes Tony Stark into a very dark place and he turns to the former HYDRA assassin with a burning fury, part of him screaming for revenge.
Finding out that Steve knew and didn't tell him pushes him over the edge and he lashes out against the super soldier, but just as Steve is about to retaliate the Winter Soldier takes Tony by surprise, by knocking Steve out and surrendering.The Asset knows that to be free HYDRA must be crushed, and for that to happen his best chance is the resources of Tony Stark, when Captain America shows up in Bucharest the fragmented memories of who he once was tells him that the Captain will protect him and bring him to the Avengers so the Asset goes with him, but when the Captain is about to attack Iron Man with deadly intent he makes a choice and goes against the voices within.
The Asset neutralizes the Captain and surrenders to Iron Man, hoping that he will be able to convince the man to use HYDRA's own weapon to take them down.- Language:

"And you want me so bad it makes your head spin," claimed Tony. "You wanna kiss me so bad it makes you act stupid."
Stephen shook his head. “What am I going to do with you?”
“Meaning you’re planning on keeping me?”
Stephen chuckled, and then looked back at Tony with a small smile. “Tell me what happened, don’t die, and I’ll think about it.”
Tony punched the air, and Stephen rolled his eyes.
This time definitely in fondness.
