Minseok, as the ship doctor, took a series of short-term rests instead of a single long one, and would wake up each couple of days to make sure everyone was doing okay. As for Gumayusi, his job calls for him to be lucid almost the entire time.

Freyja Nyugen after killing a predator ended up getting kidnapped by a nomadic clan and is now forced to spend the rest of her life among the yautja, who don't seem to like her very much, and the clan leader has tolerance for her. she doesn't have much going for herself as she is forced to survive not only the embarrassment of being treated like a child but also the increasingly difficultly it is to have a peaceful life on the ship, however through reassurance and harsh lessons she begins to learn to be one of them.
this does have some references Machiko Noguchi, but honestly I have not been able to get my hands on comics with her in it for me to be able to read up on her so I'm kind of doing my own thing lmao.
