Summary
Long before the ban was passed in Camelot or the prince of the prophesy was born. The tails were told. Of the once and future king and the warlock that would stay by his side. The warlock born with golden eyes and black wings.
Merlin never knew a life of freedom. Locked in his house as a child and later captured by Sarrum. When Merlin came to Camelot, it was his last chance to escape.
But he got a little more than he bargained for.
And now, when Sarrum comes back and recognises his old captor, what will Arthur do?

Summary
Seventeen years ago, Arthur found himself lost in the woods. A kind merlin helped him find his way back home, but this wasn’t before his mother went looking for him. She entered the woods at night, and like others in the past, the Beast made sure that she didn’t leave alive. Now Arthur finds himself going back to his old home to start a new life. Though, the past comes back. When Arthur enters the woods during the day, he meets the merlin that helped him all those years ago, and as he starts to get to know this merlin that is actually a man named Merlin, he starts to fall for him. There is danger though. A strange woman starts to follow him around, and as the story goes on, Arthur starts to learn that his mother’s story about the king that died is more than just a bedtime story.

Summary
Merlin, feeling so many things he can't make sense of, leaves to clear his head. He gets lost in the beauty and wonder of nature and loses all sense of time as he wanders among the woods and animals.
The wolves he's with want to show him something strange, and he follows. He finds hordes of people around a strange tower in snowy lands where he meets an unusual blue creature that talks to him in his mind. Having been surrounded by animals so long, Merlin has forgotten what speaking normally or telepathically feels like and stumbles over words and phrases that feel unfamiliar.
Gwaine convinces him to return to Camelot even briefly.
Merlin likes Gwaine and decides that he will be his.
He speaks to the gathered people in the council chambers briefly before retreating back to the woods with his partner happily in tow.
