Summary
After being taken out of a severely abusive foster home consisting of a couple of humans, 10-year-old raccoon-hybrid Tommy is placed with the Watson’s. It’s strange— different to say the least, and unlike any other house Tommy has stayed in before.
No matter the difference, trouble seems to follow the rather curious boy everywhere he goes.
(Or, in which Tommy doesn’t know how to control himself when it comes to his animalistic desires, and Philza Watson goes about teaching consequences.. a bit differently, than Tommy is used to.)

Summary
On the outskirts of the town, there was a house that had a crawl space of sorts underneath it. Tommy had hid there once or twice after stealing from the baker. He hadn't been caught, so he figured he could hide there again.
Tommy wriggled into it, tail flicking back and forth as his hooves pushed against the damp soil. Eventually he popped into the basement.
It was warmer than outside, but it was still fairly chilly, especially since Tommy was wet. And it was dark. Tommy couldn't see his hand in front of his face- granted, cow hybrids weren't exactly known for their night vision. The basement was always dark, but normally a few stray beams of sunlight poked in from outside.
Tommy sighed and felt his way to a wall. The walls were lined with chests, so Tommy began feeling his way through them.

They're probably just miserable and," Phil lifts one hand and waves it around, gesturing, before bringing it back down to continue typing. He doesn't turn around to look at Tommy at all. "—you know." he sighs.
"You can a handle it." his dad says. "Just— grow up. Be the bigger person."
A heavy weight like a stone drops in Tommy's stomach. He feels it, and with the stone, his heart as well. For a second, he thinks he might be sick.
Just grow up.
"O—oh." Tommy chokes, feeling a ball forming in his throat, blocking it up, causing tears to prick at his eyes. He goes to try to speak around it, but—
"Is there anything else you need?" Phil asks, endlessly facing away, still not even bothering to face Tommy. "I'm really busy, kiddo."

Summary
It’s been a little over half a year since his stay, and Tommy’s still not used to feeding from Phil yet. Despite the older vampire assuring him it’s totally fine, he’s still not used to sticking his fangs into anyone that wasn’t Dream.
SBI say that Dream was wrong for the way he treated him—that he never should’ve been in that situation in the first place. Apparently, it was so bad that even Phil admitted to being kept up most nights with the fear of finding him in a cage.
And they certainly weren’t happy to find out he’d been fed animal blood as a fledgling, of all things.
Or, Tommy is a newly acquired fledgling rescued from Dream’s coven.

The first time that Tom Watson dyed his hair he was nine years old. It was an alarmingly loud red, something that made the young boy absolutely ecstatic. It was something that no responsible adult would have allowed such a young kid to do, not only because of the bold color but for the fact that he himself did his own hair.
But, Tommy had no responsible adult that paid him any mind so when the young boy was grabbing his own groceries, clutching his father’s credit card in his pocket as if it would disappear if he let go, and he saw the hair dye that was most definitely not on the grocery list, the young boy just had to get it.

For when Tommy was just a young boy, he killed Thomas Watson to become Tommy Innit. Since his mother died, too young to remember, and his brothers left to leave him with a father who was never there, Tommy learned to grow up on his own. Tommy opened his mouth to speak, but it took him a few seconds to find the right words. When he finally did, he winced at the way his voice lilted with uncertainty. “But…I’m not a dancer?”
Mr. Sam chuckled softy, nodding. “Maybe not, but I think you might surprise yourself.” When Tommy didn’t seem convinced, he added, “Listen, it’s not a commitment, just a single class. If you decide to go, it’s just to try it out and if you like it, you can keep going. If not, you forget about it and no harm done.”
Tommy bit his lip, glancing back down at the flyer. Mr. Sam certainly had a lot more faith in him than he himself did. And the last thing he wanted was to disappoint the person who’s class he actually looked forward to. His grip tightened almost out of determination, wrinkling the edges around his fingers. “...I’ll think about it.”
