Tommy had called him. He remembers ringing his best friend's number, nicknamed to 'dumb idiot #1'. Tubbo had answered, that same cheery voice that would itch his brain in all the right ways, whether it was at the school lunch table, or during late night gaming. Tommy also remembers the brunette saying he was on a car ride on the way to the suburbs for vacation, and how he replied with a light 'fuck you', and rambled about still having pending college assignments.
He remembers when it hit.

Tommy takes a deep breath before knocking on the door Sam Nook took him to. "Come in," says a voice that is both familiar and unfamiliar. Like Tommy had heard the voice before but can't place it.
Quickly, Tommy makes sure his mask is still on right and that his hair is covering his bruised jaw. Then he opens the door.
What Tommy expects to see when he owns the door is a Hero Headquarters employees in an ordinary suit or formal outfit with a clipboard and pen at the ready. What he doesn't expect is the hero Hades in his black and green hero robes at a table reading Tommy's resume.- Or -
