Summary
After the death of Chiaki Nanami, you had fallen into despair. Intertwined by the heart with your former classmate, Nagito Komaeda, the two of you set off to wreak havoc on those who were unfortunate enough to cross your paths.
In truth, you were nothing more than a marionette dancing with the help of strings created by your own betrayals, but you had no qualms with being used- so long as the one person you had tied matched nooses with chose to stick with you.
Things changed for the worse when you were both captured, however, and now you must repeat portions of the very events that brought you to where you were now.

For Togami to act in his own interest, for Kirigiri to doubt...All she needed was one, out of six. She couldn't get one. The Ultimate Despair failed to sow despair, and it was because of you."
Hajime felt, faintly, an emotion like milk curdling inside him, as the honey-sweet praises kept issuing from Nagito. It was...a version of a feeling he'd experienced a lot, pre-Kamukura Project. Now, it was just corroded into something especially poisonous, by years of inflated pride. How ironic. Even with all the talent in the world, almost literally, he was still inadequate. Yes, for Naegi, words like "because of you" were words of praise, of reassurance. For Hajime, they were condemnation. Accusation.
He remembered the exact sensation of crushing a skull underfoot.
I was willing to lose everything, just to be special, and yet all I became was a different kind of disappointment. Even when he was everything, he wasn't enough.

Here was the thing: no one gave a shit about the Remnants.
Oh , Makoto might say he does, but that's bullshit. Junko knew it, Izuru knew it, the Remnants themselves knew it, even if they missed the details. Makoto was someone who eluded her grasp- both physically, and in terms of knowledge; someone who surprised her at every turn. But even she could understand this —that this was solely caused by the fact that Future Foundation recovered their memories. (Ironic, isn't it? At least for them.) It was because he remembered Mukuro : the Remnants were a redemption round.
Not that that was new . He wasn't the only one this simulation was a redemption round for; for Izuru, this was a rematch between Chiaki and her, a thought so boring she almost couldn't believe it came from him. But Junko wasn't interested in a rematch between someone she's already beaten so thoroughly—what she cared about was that this was a rematch between Makoto and her.

On the other end, Hajime Hinata is a single father committing himself to the balancing act of keeping himself in one piece for the sake of his daughter; but with a long-lost friend turning up to offer a helping hand, he thinks that maybe things won’t end up so bad after all.
