It is a pleasingly clean, intuitive choice for the work to start with an acknowledgement of the raw stuff it is made with, and a reading that is also so fortunate as to begin with Tinco never fails to bring good news.

    And so forth. This fic is both a 'scholar fic' with about three levels of framing and an actual and sincere beginner's guide to using the Tengwar, one of Tolkien's invented alphabets, to tell fortunes.

    Widowed and aged, Arwen makes the trip back to the abandoned lands of her people. Along the way she picks up a straggler, who weaves her some very nice tales to die to.

    From next exchange onward, the Steward and His King Exchange will be using Venya Véra Parmastalva for hosting the stories. It will also function as the epicentre of the exchange: where sign-ups and assignment matching takes places as well as saving all the stories from that year in a collection. Teclórien will continue to be where we mods post updates and communicate dates.

    Further posts will come out detailing how to sign up at and use Venya Véra Parmastalva. We hope this move will make everyone's stories more accessible to a wider audience as well as save it for future generations.

      Ñolofinwë didn't have the courage to embrace that life completely, not when his political marriage with Anairë still existed. Not when the whole world was a judge and he was the person in the dock. Once, he confronted Maitimo. The oldest, the only one who treated Arakáno as a brother. The only one who knew what to say.

      "You hate me, don't you?"

      Maitimo hesitated. He swallowed hard as he looked into those blue eyes so different from his own.

      "No." He answered directly, and then took the boy, who was just over fifteen years old, in his arms. "I just don't know what to do with you."

      Arakáno sobbed. That was the worst answer of all.
