    Summary

    In The Avengers, Natasha Romanova says "Love is for children." It's an expression of life as she knows it, and fits the harsh background most of the Avengers have experienced. Trouble is, people don't do very well without love. In particular it's impossible to form a good team if the members don't care about each other.

    So Phil Coulson comes up with a teambuilding exercise to resolve that problem. If love is for children ... then he'll arrange that experience for them. The result is an exploration of nonsexual ageplay to allow a group of very powerful, very broken people to patch up some of the gaps in their lives.

    Most of the stories are very sweet in tone and make for good comfort reading. However, canon gives these characters some very unpleasant pasts, and that comes up as they process the aftermath. So the tone does vary, and some stories are more intense than others. They deal with different characters, relationships, and sensitive issues.

    Some folks have avoided this series for fear that it goes into sexual territory; it doesn't. Same with embarrassment, very low on that.

    An AU in which Kratos does not kill Heimdall in Vanaheim and starts the journey of redemption for the wayward arrogant Aesir god. Odin in his all-knowing wisdom has convinced Heimdall his worth is dependent on his ability to comply with his wishes and has convinced the young Aesir god that that is what family love is.
    In his 'capture' with the group of traitors, Heimdall's captors try to convince him that he is not unlovable as he has always believed himself to be. Heimdall is not so sure that he agrees with their sentiments though.

Through the haze of smoke, bent over with her hair sweat slick and matted with gore and giving as much as I gave it was easy to get lost in the fantasy that she wasn’t- well.

    “Is she angry with us both now Brother?” A siren song of a drawl in my ear, Loki’s hand wide on my back. Hands I shouldn’t notice, hands that big and fine fingered. It was easy to think my brother small, but - but, since we were boys he was the only one fast enough, fierce enough to pin me.

    These thoughts weren’t Asgardian.

    Sighing, dreading the loss as I stepped away from the spreading warmth of his hand, joy as he gripped my elbow to keep me pressed close to him. “She doesn’t understand.”

      她的手指蜷缩进他的衬衫，紧紧抓住浆得过分的白布，脸贴在他的胸口，让人看不清她的表情。但她说话的声音却清晰而坚毅，如同巨人冰块一般。“所以现在……你让我在乎你……你又把我拖回这一切……你终于抓住我，说出这些……然后我就不得不失去你？”

      洛基只是轻轻叹了口气，紧紧地抱着她，现实在他们周围逐渐消散。一滴泪水顺着她的脸颊滑落，消失在他衬衫的合成纤维中。“不管你在做什么……”她恳求道，“停下 来。”

      神明只是把她抱得更紧了，下巴固执地紧咬着。“我希望你没事。你一定会没事的。”

      她跨过他，站在他右侧中间的台阶上，用鼻子低头盯着他。金发姑娘双臂交叉，满怀期待地盯着他，显然已经做好了要硬着头皮上场的准备。“告诉他。”

      听到这个要求后，莫比乌斯发出了一声细小而压抑的声音，但他们当然听不到。

      “他甚至不——”

      “如果你说他不爱你，我还是会捅你一刀。”女人断然威胁道。

      洛基深吸一口气，仿佛在努力让自己平静下来，然后强迫自己再次坐直。“我是他的朋友。 ”

      她怒吼一声，举起双手。“你是他他妈的搭档——不止一个方面，就算你看起来瞎了！你们俩在田纳西河谷管理局合作多久了？一年？”

      “我不知道，”他含糊其辞地说，“这里的时间不同。”
