Grian is created in a lab by using docs dna, and vladen the head scientist then starts experimenting on doc. Grian gets ill and the scientists invite zedaph to help heal him. When they escape, zedaph is the only one doc and grian trust and so they lie to xisuma and xisuma spends a year looking for docs kid while doc slowly introduced grian to a small number of the hermits and then eventually to xisuma. Scar also thought grian was a new mob but was quickly corrected by doc. Both previous parts of the story are in the 2024 whumptober series

Summary
This is a compilation of all the pieces that take place within my Over-City/Under-City AU, which is also a Hot Guy/Cute Guy Superhero AU, though that's not the only thing that'll be going on! I plan to keep this series in chronological order, so I'll put all the pieces where they'd fall along the timeline, which may sometimes not line up with the publishing date. The exception to this is 'Pretty Boy' which, IF someone does want to read the whole series in order, I'd want them to have read that one first and then all the rest, so 'Pretty Boy' will always be the first fic in the line-up, but after that you could read chronologically or just bounce around as you please! I've written all of these to mostly stand-alone, so you shouldn't be too terribly confused no matter where you decide to start up!

Summary
Scar, better known as the beloved superhero Hot Guy, has been doing this gig for almost twenty years now, protecting the city from the dangerous creatures and machines released from the under-city by hybrids and mutants bent on causing chaos and mayhem just for the sake of it. Or so, that’s the information he’s running on, which he recognizes is a little skewed, but he has no choice but to go with it.
That is, until an avian hybrid picks up the vigilante lifestyle and wedges himself into Scar’s daily hero-ing duties with annoying persistence.
Maybe he needs to rethink his career choices after all. Getting saved from being crushed by a collapsing building after a green monster exploded by a beautiful man with wings wearing thigh highs and heels would certainly do that to a person.
{In which Scar is trying to balance listening to his conscience with doing his job, Grian is having more fun flirting than he is fighting, and things always go back to the status quo, day by day…even if they don’t always want them too.}

Ah yes, the wonders of Mumbo Jumbo. A perfectly 'normal' human being across a server of a bunch of chaotic looking and acting hybrids. Mumbo Jumbo is also rather oblivious and can be rather, not smart as Scar says, when it comes to his own health and identity. Grian starts to pick up on this and gradually realizes.

Xisuma adds a seemingly harmless patch to the Hermitcraft server, intended to fix mob behavior. Instead, it breaks the server hybrids, making mob code take precedent over player code. X will have to try and fix it (and remain corporeal) while the unaffected Hermits try and wrangle their newly feral friends.

Summary
People do things for a reason. Whether it be conscious or unconscious, decisions are made with some kind of reasoning behind them.
So the things Grian did also had a reason behind them. The almost child-like side of him - the pranking, chaotic side - had a reason. The parental side of him - the serious and caring side - had a reason. Though the reason isn’t very fun to learn about, it still exists.
Or: A journey through Grian being parental, Grisuma being gay and Grian being traumatized.
